Fixed Term (2 Years) Full Time (1.0 EFT / 80 Hours) + ADO Psychologists Grade 2 Located at The Alfred Great Staff Benefits: 5 Weeks Leave & Salary Packaging About the role This exciting position for an early-career psychologist is designed to support your transition into the workforce after completing your university-based training, while you undertake your forensic and clinical registrar program.
One position is available for a new-graduate psychologist seeking dual forensic/clinical psychology endorsement , commencing February 2025.
During your two-year registrar period, you will complete two 12-month rotations in services within Alfred Mental and Addiction Health.
One rotation will be with the Infant Child and Youth Area Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (clinical endorsement) and the other with the Youth Forensic Specialist Service (forensic endorsement).
Both rotations will be based in Moorabbin.
You will provide clinical and forensic assessment, formulation, specialist forensic secondary and primary consultations, and direct delivery of clinical and behaviour change services to young people with complex emotional, behavioural, forensic, and mental health difficulties.
You will be supported by highly experienced supervisors in each rotation, receive supervision provided by a dedicated Psychology Educator throughout your two-year program, and attend regular peer group supervision.
We are seeking applications from current final year Masters or Doctoral candidates in Forensic and Clinical Psychology, expecting to attain General Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia by no later than end of January 2025.
