Watch Our Story: here Primary Responsibilities In the role of Queensland Highways Team Leader, we'll count on you to: Give your full commitment to HDR's values Take active leadership towards safety with other staff members Lead the Queensland Highways Team of highway engineers, designers and drafters Drive bookings, revenue and profit growth for Transport clients across Australia, in particular for the Highways sector in Queensland Undertake Principal In Charge and Project Manager roles on planning, design and design & construct projects Serve in a senior technical role on selected highway planning, design and design & construct projects Client liaison and relationship management Contribute to building a strong, diverse organisation that embraces inclusion with respect and appreciation for the value we each bring to our clients and to HDR Coaching and mentoring other staff Perform other duties as needed.
Skills & Experience Relevant tertiary qualification in civil engineering Accredited as a Registered Professional Engineer Queensland (RPEQ) Eligible for Chartered membership of Engineers Australia.
12+ years related or equivalent project management, technical design and delivery experience in Queensland on TMR projects involving urban and rural highway interchanges, intersection design, traffic management, transportation planning, site planning, preparation of concept alignments and geometrical layouts.
Experience leading teams.
Proficiency in design and documentation with comprehensive understanding of Australian and local standards.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel and Word.
Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to work effectively within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment.
Highly motivated and self-directed.
Willingness to be accountable and responsible.
Strong attention to detail with an ability to work under pressure.
