Western Health is seeking an experienced Grade 2 Cath Lab/DSA Radiographer to be an integral part of the Medical Imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Grade 3 and 4 Radiographers in the delivery of an efficient and effective Cath lab and DSA service across Footscray and Sunshine Hospitals. The Grade 2 Radiographer ensures high-quality diagnostic images are achieved using the ALARA principle. The successful applicant will receive specialist modality training and be credentialed to perform call. Under supervision, you will also be expected to assist with the training, supervision, and mentoring of students and junior radiographers and participate in the out-of-hours shift burden of the Medical Imaging Department. To be successful in this role, you: Assist the Grade 3/4 CT Radiographers in training and education of junior staff. Under direction from the Grade 3/4 Radiographers, assist with assessment and sign-off of staff training. As directed by the Grade 3/4 Radiographers, ensure audits for radiation safety and benchmarking are conducted and recorded accurately. Ensure that Student Radiographers/Intern Radiographers are supervised appropriately and perform examinations in accordance with Departmental policy and procedures, and commensurate with their skill level and scope of clinical practice. Ensure appropriate levels of consumables are available at all times in the imaging rooms and other areas when rostered. Participate in a 27/7 roster, including Night shift and Call. Demonstrate your organisational skills, particularly with respect to time management, written/verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate an ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary health care team. Applications close 11:59pm on 14 November 2024.
