Recovery Practitioner, Programs and Response in Touch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence has a rewarding opportunity for a Recovery Practitioner, Programs and Response in the in Spire team.
This role supports our clients to access and engage with their post-crisis recovery goals.
Status: Permanent No.
of Vacancy: One Hours: Full-time/ Part-time (0.8 FTE negotiable) Location: Melbourne Pay rates: SCHADS 5 + based on experience + Salary Packaging + Superannuation ABOUT THE ORGANISATION in Touch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence (in Touch) provides person-centered, integrated, and culturally responsive family violence services to people from migrant and refugee communities across Victoria.
We have assisted over 30,000 women and children experiencing family violence throughout our 40 years of operation, providing a holistic service that centers the experiences of victim-survivors in everything we do.
in Touch works across the family violence continuum, providing culturally informed early intervention, case management, programs for men who use violence, legal advice, crisis recovery, and enhanced capacity-building across the sector and community.
ABOUT THE ROLE The Programs and Response Practitioner will work across In Touch's in Spire recovery service continuum to ensure the effective delivery of intermediate supports and long-term recovery responses to our clients.
The role is responsible for supporting clients to engage with and achieve their post-crisis recovery goals and implement systems and processes which assist with the delivery of in Spire programs, events, outward-facing initiatives, and overall operational support.
Key focus areas include: Program Planning and Quality Improvement: Plan, support, and deliver in Spire programs and service responses, including risk management planning, communications, resource planning, and evaluation.
Support and Response Activities: Collaborate with the in Spire team to support integrated approaches for client best outcomes.
Intake and Referral Support: Support intake and referral pathways into in Spire services and manage handover from case managers.
Programs: Develop and deliver programs and opportunities with the in Spire Team and participants.
Stakeholder and Relationship Support: Build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
Program Administration: Provide administrative support, including managing referral requests and program waitlists.
Professional Documentation and Compliance: Maintain professional documentation and administrative systems according to program and legislative requirements.
Collaborative Practice: Work closely with the Recovery Programs Manager and other staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Cultural Sensitivity and Continuous Improvement: Undertake all interactions with clients in a culturally sensitive manner.
Safety Culture and Professional Development: Promote a safety culture and attend required training and meetings.
ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT Key Selection Criteria A tertiary or postgraduate qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Counselling, or a related discipline.
Experience working within a recovery-oriented service using trauma-informed approaches.
Strong crisis management skills.
Sound knowledge of the issues facing women from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
Demonstrated experience engaging with refugee and migrant communities.
Experience in event management and program evaluation.
Strong organisational and administrative skills.
Strong communication skills.
Demonstrates initiative and willingness to work autonomously.
Exceptional time management skills.
Ability to effectively plan and manage multiple tasks.
High-level verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to speak a language in addition to English will be highly regarded.
