Registered Manager Children's Home Edgbaston Birmingham B15 £50-£60k + KPI bonus depending on experience and qualifications We require an experienced Registered Manager to lead our modern and spacious detached children's home, situated in Edgbaston, Birmingham.
It will accommodate up to 3 young people aged between 8-17 years and will offer a unique mental health service for children and young people, specializing in those with complex mental health needs and associated challenging behaviors.
You will be committed to providing the highest standard of care.
Salary up to £60 K + bonus.
We require an experienced Registered Manager, ideally who has previously managed a similar-sized children's home.
We would possibly consider an experienced Deputy looking to step up.
You will be provided with huge support from the Responsible Individual and Organisation Owners.
Registered Manager will: Manage the staff and resources of the Home to provide a positive living experience for the resident young people.
Oversee, on a day-to-day basis, the care, safety, and development of all residents, alongside the management, development, and coordination of the home and its outreach work.
Ensure that the agreed plans at the Home are implemented.
Monitor and review the work practices of all staff in their day-to-day work with the young people, parents, Social Workers, other agencies, and the public.
Attend training opportunities as required.
Ensure that employees are aware of their responsibilities under the Health and Safety Act 1974, to carry out agreed safety procedures in maintaining a safe environment for all people involved in the company.
Registered Manager must have: Experience of working with children with mental health (MH), emotional and behavioral difficulties (EBD), and challenging behaviors in a residential setting.
Experience of facilitating, organizing, directing, and developing teams.
Experience of using childcare standards and best practice models to guide decision-making.
Experience of translating policy into practice.
Knowledge of management theories.
Management qualifications.
Management training and experience.
Child-related/Social care qualifications.
Knowledge of equal opportunities and diversity models.
Up-to-date knowledge of childcare and child protection laws.
Basic knowledge of IT.
NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management or working towards it.
Full knowledge of Ofsted requirements.
Evidence of Ofsted inspections.
Satisfactory DBS check.
