About Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services (MHDAS) MHDAS provides integrated and recovery oriented mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region experiencing, or at risk of experiencing, mental health and drug & alcohol issues, and their families.
Our service is internationally recognised for its innovative clinical programs and integrated models of practice that are client centred, accessible and family inclusive.
About the role As the successful applicant you will work across three shifts: 0700-1530, 1330-2200, undertaking the following duties: Acute intake and risk assessments; liaison and networking with consumers, families and other services; recovery-orientated treatment planning; and evidence based brief interventions.
Clinical decision making around risk management strategies and prioritisation, with support and guidance from rostered RPN4s staff.
Liaison with and referral to other MHDAS teams and external agencies.
Participation and facilitation of peer case reviews and clinical audits.
About you Formal professionally recognised qualifications in Mental Health Nursing.
Registration as a registered nurse.
Current Australian Drivers Licence.
A minimum of two years of clinical mental health experience, particularly in acute community and/or inpatient settings.
