The Opportunity: Join our dynamic Foresight, Strategy, and Impact (FSI) team as a Research Analyst (RA) in our Melbourne office. In this exciting role, you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based insights and research to support a variety of innovative technical and advisory projects. You'll utilise diverse research methods, conduct policy and program evaluations, craft compelling reports, prepare winning proposals, and deliver impactful presentations. Your contributions will be key to the success of our clients' projects and our ongoing growth and profitability. You will: Undertake research to obtain preliminary data and knowledge across a wide range of sources and networks. Undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis from research materials. Undertake background research for projects, using own initiative to find resources. Use appropriate tools such as SPSS, NVivo, online survey tools and Microsoft Office to extract, populate and manipulate data. Contribute content for draft proposals, tenders and submissions for potential projects. Demonstrate developing understanding and ability to apply aspects of social science theory and techniques (research and evaluation). Actively listen and ask questions to gain greater understanding of clients' key objectives. About you: Relevant qualifications in social science, public policy, psychology or a related discipline (Masters level preferred but not essential). At least 1 year of experience in social policy related roles, with experience in a fast-paced, multi-project consultancy environment highly regarded. Demonstrated interest in the above areas and aptitude to work in fast paced work environments (multi project base consultancy work is desirable). Indications of genuine passion about communities. Analysis and administration skills in the Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel and Power Point). Developing skills and evidence of interest in research and report writing is desirable.
