The position involves collaborating with experts to improve early psychosis services via headspace centers and enhance the design and quality of nationwide youth mental health programs. Your responsibilities will include: Provide research and consultation support for national programs targeting early psychosis and youth mental health services, particularly headspace Early Psychosis and YES programs. Work with leading experts at Orygen and the University of Melbourne to drive national youth mental health service improvements. Support the undertaking of the fidelity process across the headspace Early Psychosis sites. Contribute to managing research focused projects within AEPP and SIQI, including applications to Ethics and Governance Committees. Undertake small projects using existing datasets to answer clinical questions proposed by the AEPP, headspace National evaluation or h EP teams. Contribute to the youth mental health evidence-base through the development of case studies, health services research, and evaluation of SIQI activities. Who We Are Looking For The successful candidate will have a strong interest in youth mental health, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong organisational and time management abilities to handle multiple tasks effectively. They will demonstrate the ability to collaborate with staff and external partners, contribute to decision-making processes, and show a commitment to building a research career in the mental health sector. You will also have: A postgraduate degree (Honours or Masters by Research) in behavioural or social sciences or a related discipline or progress towards a Ph D. A strong interest in youth mental health. Excellent organisational and time management skills, including a demonstrated ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks. Ability to negotiate and prioritise workload with supervisor and other staff to ensure the successful delivery of initiatives and projects. This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University.
