Support for career progression and development An opportunity to work with a leading regional health service Excellent clinical exposure across a range of specialties The Position Job Reference: 1440 Position Title: Research Governance Manager Classification: Dependant on Qualifications Hours per fortnight: 32 Hours Employment Status: Ongoing Part Time The Role The primary purpose of the Research Governance Manager role is research governance oversight for human research proposals submitted for ethical approval at Bendigo Health. It involves secretariat support for the Bendigo Health Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC), which meets at least ten times per year. In line with the requirements of the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research 2023, the Research Governance Manager not only processes applications for ethical approval of projects but also monitors and audits approved projects over the life of the research, and takes a lead in providing training, support, and advice to researchers developing their research proposals. The Research Governance Manager is expected to support Bendigo Health's Research Plan in developing strategic partnerships and collaborations to build research capacity and to work actively with colleagues and partners in leading improvements to the implementation of best practice research governance at Bendigo Health.
