Safety Culture Clinical Coordinator - Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 2 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants Employment Type : Permanent Full Time Position Classification : Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 Remuneration : $109,945.46 - $113,556.22 per annum Hours Per Week : 38 Requisition ID : REQ517151 Applications Close: 18th September 2024 What You'll Be Doing The Safety Culture & Disaster Coordinator will be pivotal in ensuring that ISLHD's workplace has a focus on embedding behaviours and practices which minimise risk to its employees, patients, and visitors.
The position will provide support to the District Disaster Manager and District Hubs with emergency management arrangements, planned events occurring within the geographical footprint of the district to ensure that ISLHD can support a response to and recover from an incident affecting ISLHD and its community.
A key function of this role will involve communication and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders both within and external to ISLHD.
The position will also lead and coordinate training and education and facilitate exercises and drills at local and LHD level, with a key focus on Code Black arrangements.
The position will provide operational support during activation of local, district and state emergency management plans and recovery processes as requested by LHD HSFAC/Disaster Manager.
The successful applicant will be enthusiastic, motivated, self-directed, highly organised, an effective communicator and able to work within tight deadlines.
On-call commitment is a requirement of this position.

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Evidence of or working towards relevant emergency management education and training.
Proven skills in the application of adult education principles and working with teams to improve workplace culture.
Working knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply policies, regulations, and standards.
Proven skills in the development and implementation of relevant policy, procedures, and guidelines.
Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills including the ability to work in a consultative manner and negotiate with key stakeholders both internally and externally of the ISLHD.
A sound understanding of risk management principles as applied to emergency management, and a sound knowledge and understanding of associated Work Health & Safety legislation and quality principles.
Current NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
