A new position is available for an experienced, self-motivated, performance-driven person to join our team as a used truck Sales Executive for our Selec Trucks dealership.
Based across 2 locations with our corporate office in Mulgrave and our sales office in Somerton, this role gives you the flexibility to access potential buyers from 2 possible work locations, increasing your reach into the used truck market.
In this role, you will be responsible for introducing a variety of used truck brands and models to your customers, maintaining strong relationships with them and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction is consistently achieved.
The role: Reporting to the Operations Manager, Selec Trucks, your key responsibilities will include: Represent Daimler Truck and introduce its quality Used Trucks (Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, and Fuso) as well as other manufacturers' products to the used truck market.
Developing new relationships and maintaining existing ones.
Assist in maintaining current stock database and advertising mediums.
Assist in preparing new stock for sale.
Assist with inspection and appraisal of potential trade-ins.
To hand over well-presented vehicles to the satisfaction of the customer and ensure all required documentation is completed.
Follow up and after-sales service to ensure customer satisfaction.
Qualifications Who we are looking for: The successful candidate will be a driven self-starter with excellent communication skills and a desire to achieve business growth.
Ideally, you will be an experienced commercial vehicle Sales Executive, or you may be an experienced Commercial Vehicle professional, with a background in Service or Parts with the ambition to build a sales career with a strong brand.
You will need to have good communication skills and be proficient in basic computer skills.
At a minimum, a heavy rigid vehicle licence is required for this role, and the ability to drive a Road Ranger transmission would be an advantage.
The ability to work in a small team, be ethical in your dealings in business and with customers, and possessing knowledge in commercial vehicles will be essential for success in this role.
