The Sanitation and Hygiene Manager plays a pivotal role in the effective delivery of high hygiene standards by championing, coaching, and improving the H&S and food safety culture across our Ballarat site. Be responsible for managing and developing the Sanitation Team while collaborating cross-functionally to ensure legislative requirements are met, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are being upheld, and customer expectations are exceeded. About the role Incident Investigation and Corrective Action requirements Identify root cause of micro issues related to sanitation, improve Environmental Monitoring results to reduce sanitation deviation Ensures, in collaboration with Shift Managers and the Training Coordinator, each team member undergoes comprehensive sanitation and hygiene training so that staff can safely, competently, and confidently undertake cleaning and sanitation activities across the site. Design and implement a Master Sanitation Schedule to meet the plant's needs while complying with customer and Mc Cain food safety standards. Plan and manage the execution of all Sanitation and cleaning activities on the Sanitation and Maintenance Day. Conduct compliance audits and inspections of internal hygiene standards and documentation. Ensure hygiene validation and verification activities are documented and adhere to cleaning schedules. About you Experience leading hygiene teams – being out the best in your team through coaching, development, and recognition. Broad cross-functional knowledge, including operations, quality assurance, technical aspects, and engineering. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to derive insights. Ability to navigate ambiguous and complex situations effectively. Excellent presentation and communication skills with stakeholders at all levels. Understanding and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Proficiency in implementing change management strategies and principles.
