Full Time Role, Ongoing Commencement date Term 1, 2025 Applications are invited for the position of Secondary Teacher in our Joshua Centre, from passionate and innovative teachers with a strong commitment to Christian education.
The successful candidate will be passionate about autistic education and have experience working with students on the Autism spectrum.
This role includes a Position of Responsibility as Teaching & Learning Coordinator of Secondary.
The Teaching & Learning Coordinator Secondary is a dedicated and innovative educator who can lead others in curriculum & pedagogy development; being passionate about excellence in teaching and pastoral care; and building an environment for students to flourish both socially and academically.
The Teaching & Learning Coordinator must have an in-depth knowledge of the ethos of the College and the principles by which it operates and must be willing to support these unreservedly.
Reporting to the Joshua Centre Director, the Dean of Secondary has curriculum and reporting; mentoring and induction of new staff; and pastoral care components.
This role requires the capacity to work cooperatively and communicate effectively with the Head of Teaching & Learning Primary & Secondary roles, Teaching & Learning Coordinator of Primary Joshua Centre, and all members of the school community, including parents and professionals from external agencies.
The Joshua Centre opened in 2022 and is a special purpose educational facility that supports students on the Autism spectrum.
The Joshua Centre is located on the Tyabb Campus and provides a differentiated learning program and environment better suited to the sensory needs and routines of students with Autism.
