About the role The successful candidate will become a part of a team that looks after a varied and interesting client base including: Business clients across various industries including construction, professional services, and property development. Investor clients with substantial holdings in property and equities. Reviewing junior staff work (ITRs, BAS/IAS, and basic companies & trusts) Preparation of financials & tax returns for multi-entity structures. The team works collaboratively to assist client needs, improve their skills, and drive excellent commercial outcomes for clients. We support one another to solve problems and help clients each and every day. Initially working in the Senior Accountant role, your duties will include but are not limited to: Accurate, efficient, and timely preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and BAS's for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts, and management reporting. Be a first point of contact for clients, coordinating their requests and ensuring deadlines are met. Reviewing work prepared by other team members and clients' Bookkeepers. Working directly with the Partner in high-level and complex consulting engagements. We would expect and work with the successful candidate to ensure that they will continue to grow and learn and move into more senior and challenging roles (Supervisor/Manager) with the team and the firm & Morris Cohen Glen & Co. Skills and experience We are looking for candidates that possess the following: CA/CPA or close to completing. 3+ years accounting experience, ideally gained within a public practice or professional services firm. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail. The ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. Strong dedication to teamwork, a willingness to work hard, learn, and develop new skills using the latest technology. The right to work in Australia.
