GEGAC is seeking a suitable person with a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in management, public administration, or community services and with a deep understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal culture and the community's needs. Organisational Profile GEGAC is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation based on Gunaikurnai Country in Bairnsdale, Victoria. Consisting of about 160 staff, GEGAC is a Not for Profit organisation that delivers holistic services in the areas of Primary Health, Social Services, Elders & Disability and Early Childhood Education. GEGAC is a child safe agency and has a zero tolerance of abuse or neglect of children and young people. Position Purpose The Senior Adviser to the Chief Executive Officer role is integral in supporting the CEO by strategically managing and coordinating initiatives, consultations, and stakeholder relationships that significantly advance organisational goals and strategic direction. Key Selection Criteria Advanced expertise in strategic planning, problem-solving, negotiations, and project management. Demonstrated ability to foster integrity, accountability, and innovation within a public sector and community-oriented context. Qualifications and Registrations Requirement (Essential or Desirable). Driver licence ESSENTIAL Bachelor's degrees or equivalent professional experience in management, public administration, or community services ESSENTIAL Deep understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal culture and the community's needs ESSENTIAL A person of Aboriginal / Torres Strait Islander background DESIRABLE A satisfactory Working with Children Check and Fit2 Work Police Check ESSENTIAL Proof of COVID-19 vaccination to align with GEGAC requirements ESSENTIAL How to apply for this job Click here to view the Position Description.
