About the Role:
This is your shot to step up as a Senior Buyer with a leading Australian womenswear brand that's making waves around the world. You'll oversee crafting trend-driven, commercial ranges that hit the mark with our clients growing customer base. Focusing on their women's curve ranges, you'll make sure their collections align with the brand's vibe and market trends.
What You'll Be Doing:
Product Selection & Development:
Keep ahead of the game by sourcing and selecting the latest women's curve range that fit the brand's style.
Sourcing:
Find and develop new fabrics that reflect global trends and their unique look. Work closely with suppliers and designers to create fresh products.
Supplier Relationships:
Build solid relationships with suppliers, negotiate top deals, and make sure procurement is smooth and cost-effective.
OTB Management:
Team up with planning to keep stock levels just right, cutting down on excess. Use data to make smart decisions about restocking or discontinuing products.
Collaboration:
Work with marketing and visual merchandising to create spot-on communications for our customers.
Strategic Planning:
Work with the merchandising team to roll out plans that drive sales and profits. Get involved in seasonal and promotional planning to make the most of every opportunity.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Join forces with marketing, sales, and other teams to make sure our merchandising strategies are on point. Provide input on product positioning and marketing campaigns.
Team Leadership:
Lead, develop, and inspire your team, encouraging collaboration and growth.
About You:
Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or Buying.
Experience:
At least 5 years as a Womenswear Buyer, with expertise in Curve/Plus Size or Maternity ranges.
Skills:
Proven ability to juggle high workloads and hit tight deadlines.
Attitude:
A team player who thrives in a collaborative environment. You're positive, proactive, and always ready to go the extra mile!
