About the Role The Senior Engagement Advisor will design and implement training programs to support state-wide community education by CFA members.
They will oversee the Community Engagement Capability Framework, ensuring frontline members are trained for community safety work, in collaboration with regional teams.
The role also co-develops and coordinates statewide forums and training to enhance CFA members' community engagement skills.
Key responsibilities of the role include: Develop and implement training and capability initiatives to improve CFA members' community engagement, in collaboration with regional teams and headquarters.
Facilitate partnerships with stakeholders and raise awareness of community engagement.
Identify and support professional development opportunities for staff and brigades.
Contribute to policy and program development, manage budgets and report on progress.
Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, the CFA Board and committees.
About You Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: Relevant experience that supports the role, including community engagement and/or facilitation, training design and delivery.
A relevant Tertiary qualification or a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, is desirable.
Demonstrated experience working with stakeholders to address complex issues through consultation and collaboration.
Demonstrated skills and experience in designing, developing and delivering effective and accessible training programs, face to face and online.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and to represent CFA at external forums.
Demonstrated ability to collate, analyse and report on information to inform program planning and delivery.
Demonstrated project management capability, with a proven ability to effectively lead all aspects of a project from start to finish.
Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills, and commitment to a consultative approach, coupled with strong organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
