The opportunity As Senior Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for driving and embedding Regulatory Compliance and Frameworks and be instrumental in ensuring compliance with Bupa's legal, regulatory and ethical responsibilities.
In this newly created role, you will act as a conduit between Risk & Compliance and the business Chief Risk Officers to ensure the necessary systems, processes and analytics are in place to support implementation of the Risk and Compliance Frameworks.
Reporting to the General Manager - Compliance and Regulation, this role will manage the enterprise-wide compliance monitoring program, the compliance incident process, compliance training & development, control verification and analysis of data sourced from complaints and incidents.
This position is offered as permanent, full-time and may be based at our Melbourne or Sydney offices with flexible hybrid work arrangements available.
How will I help? Working closely with the broader Line 2 risk team, this role will undertake field work to support the development, maintenance and monitoring of compliance to policies, standards and processes.
Provide ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of the Compliance frameworks, standards and processes, including overseeing A&NZ compliance to the requirements.
Document and implement the A&NZ regulatory change processes and requirements, providing advice on regulatory change.
Provide ongoing maintenance of obligations in library in Protecht and overseeing business unit compliance to obligations management requirements.
Document compliance incident processes across A&NZ as well as providing market unit oversight and reporting of compliance incidents / breaches.
Deliver compliance assurance reviews on business unit compliance with framework, standards and processes.
Provide market unit wide reporting and insights on compliance assurance review findings.
Design and deliver training and communications to raise the profile of compliance obligations and influence a positive compliance risk culture.
Lead with impact to inspire and nurture the growth of your direct report.
What do I need? We are seeking a senior compliance professional with a minimum of 7 years practical experience gained within a regulated environment, such as insurance or healthcare within Australia and New Zealand.
Your collaborative team approach will see you create positive relationships as a trusted and respected Senior Manager with your stakeholders facilitating two-way interaction to achieve successful business outcomes.
In addition, you'll bring to the role: Tertiary qualifications in Risk & Compliance Management, Law or Business.
Expansive experience in developing compliance frameworks within large international businesses.
Strong knowledge of control responses to manage compliance obligations.
Proven track record in implementing pragmatic responses to regulatory issues and requirements.
Experience in presenting to senior management teams to explain and educate in relation to all aspects of a Compliance Framework.
Strong analytical, written and verbal skills to communicate risk concepts and deliver meaningful management information.
Proven effective leadership and management skills with a demonstrated ability to role model the Bupa values at all times.
