Senior Consultant/Manager-.Net

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Consultant specializing in cloud technologies, software architecture, and hands-on development within the retail industry. The ideal candidate will lead the design and development of event-driven systems, working with. NET Core, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Azure. This is a hands-on role which requires strong technical leadership and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. The Senior Consultant will be responsible for developing innovative retail solutions, optimizing system performance, and implementing best practices in security and cloud architecture. The candidate will also be involved in the development of APIs and system integrations, leveraging Azure services such as Azure Service Bus, Function Apps, and Event Hub, while ensuring systems meet the evolving demands of the retail space. The ideal candidate will have a retail domain background with a deep understanding of industry-specific challenges, experience optimizing supply chain systems, and a proven record of accomplishment of delivering high-quality software solutions in fast-paced environments. Mandatory Skills: · Experience: At least 12+ years of experience in Microsoft and. NET technologies, with a focus on. NET Core and event-driven microservices. · Cloud Expertise: Hands-on experience in designing and implementing solutions using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Azure, and event-driven microservices architectures. · Azure Integration Services: Experience with Azure Service Bus, Azure Function Apps, Azure Logic Apps, Event Hub, Azure API Management, and Azure Front Door for building scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions. · Software Development: Proficient in. NET Core, ASP. NET, and web technologies such as C#, Java Script, HTML, and CSS. Strong knowledge of Dev Ops practices with tools like Azure Dev Ops and Team City. · Security Best Practices: Expertise in embedding security within the Secure Development Lifecycle (SDLC), ensuring compliance with data protection regulations from design to deployment. · Systems Analysis: Strong skills in requirements gathering, process analysis, and designing scalable, maintainable systems aligned with business goals. · Collaboration and Leadership: Proven ability to lead technical teams, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. · Retail Domain Knowledge: Strong experience in retail systems and processes, including supply chain optimization, order fulfillment, and customer engagement platforms. · Continuous Learning: Holds advanced Microsoft Azure certifications, e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), Azure Administrator (AZ-104). Duties and Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Coordination: Lead and mentor development teams, ensuring the delivery of high-performance solutions in retail-focused projects. Coordinate team activities to meet project deadlines, deliverables, and ensure smooth communication between onshore and offshore teams. Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, enabling innovation and efficient problem-solving. Retail Domain Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of retail processes and supply chain management to design and implement optimized retail solutions. Work closely with retail clients to understand business requirements and deliver scalable, high-performance systems that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency. Leverage industry knowledge to address common retail challenges such as order fulfillment, inventory management, and real-time data integration. Client Communication and Requirement Gathering: Act as the primary point of contact for clients in the retail space, ensuring clear and effective communication. Gather and translate client requirements into technical specifications that address retail business objectives. Provide regular updates to clients on project progress, addressing concerns and ensuring alignment with their goals. Development and Support: Lead the development of new retail-focused features and enhancements based on client requirements. Oversee the support and maintenance of existing retail products, ensuring their stability and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in real-time retail systems, minimizing impact on operations. API Development and System Integration: Design, develop, and deploy APIs for retail systems using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure API Management, and GCP services. Ensure APIs are secure, scalable, and optimized for performance in high-demand retail environments. Collaborate with other teams to integrate APIs with existing retail systems and platforms. Technical Expertise and Development: Utilize C#. NET for backend development tasks, including the integration of complex retail systems. Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring the stability and scalability of retail systems. Stay updated on the latest technologies and trends in cloud platforms and retail software development to continuously improve solutions. Project Management and Methodologies: Follow Agile and Waterfall methodologies to manage project timelines and deliverables. Use productivity tools like Azure Dev Ops, JIRA, and GIT for project tracking, version control, and continuous integration. Conduct regular sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure continuous improvement and high-quality delivery. Continuous Learning and Industry Certifications: Continuously advance knowledge of cloud technologies with a focus on Azure and GCP. Stay current with trends in software architecture, cloud deployment, and secure coding practices to ensure the implementation of future-proof solutions.
