The Opportunity As a Senior Electrical Engineer specializing in battery storage systems, you will assume a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of state-of-the-art energy storage solutions.
Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing the performance, efficiency, and reliability of these systems, providing technical support to project teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of electrical systems for battery storage projects, including system architecture, electrical schematics, and power distribution layouts.
Perform detailed electrical analysis, simulations, and modeling to optimize system performance.
Guide the selection and integration of battery components based on project requirements.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, system integration teams, and procurement, to ensure seamless project execution.
Conduct comprehensive electrical design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
Plan and execute on-site electrical testing, including factory acceptance tests (FATs) and site acceptance tests (SATs).
Work with external stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals, certifications, and sign-offs.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in battery storage technologies and electrical engineering practices.
About You 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering, preferably in power/renewable energy.
Chartered Engineer status is highly preferred.
Degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience working with Medium Voltage design.
Proven experience in electrical design, particularly with battery storage systems and utility PV projects.
Hands-on experience with switchboard designing, electrical distribution systems, and ongoing testing.
Proficiency in electrical design software (Auto CAD, ETAP, etc.).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
