Join the team As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for leading a small team in managing all accounting obligations for Kmart Group.

What you'll be doing As a Senior Financial Accountant working for Kmart, you will: Support the Finance Manager in delivering all accounting obligations for the Kmart group of companies, whilst supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure all accounting policies, procedures and relevant group requirements are adhered to.
Creation and review of periodic financial reporting pack.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the business, supporting the preparation of insightful commentary & reporting.
Ensure key provisions are prepared, reviewed and monitored.
Prepare and co-ordinate Wesfarmers group reporting requirements in a timely manner.
Identify risks and opportunities for the business in a timely manner to enable mitigation of identified risks.
To be successful in this role you'll have: Ideally a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar capacity, either working in a corporate environment or within an accounting firm.
A strong understanding of IFRS accounting principles and standards.
Experience using Financial Systems (i.e.
SAP), including accounting and general ledger experience.
A proven ability to build relationships with stakeholders across all levels of an organisation, including the confidence to present and exert influence as needed.
Led a team to success and genuinely enjoy leading and coaching teams.
Ability to drive improvements, meet multiple competing deadlines and ensure high attention to detail.
Agility & eagerness to learn in an evolving and process improvement environment.
Tertiary qualifications in commerce or business, with accounting or finance majors.
Hold an CA or CPA qualification.
