About the opportunity The Victorian Government's North East Link Program is Victoria's biggest road project that will fix the missing link in Melbourne's freeway network.
The project will connect the Eastern Freeway to the M80 Ring Road with new twin tunnels, taking 15,000 trucks a day off local roads, slashing travel times by up to 35 minutes and create new open spaces and walking and cycling connections for local communities.
The project includes a massive overhaul of the Eastern Freeway, creating new express lanes and Melbourne's first dedicated busway with two new park and ride facilities improving access to public transport in the eastern suburbs.
Laing O'Rourke are working with North East Link Program, Symal, Arcadis and WSP to develop and deliver value-for-money engineering solutions for North East Link Program's South Package, which includes: Eastern Freeway upgrades between Burke Road and Tram Road Major bridge upgrades Road upgrades Lane duplications A new interchange connecting to the North East Link Tunnels New and upgraded walking and cycling connections Open spaces About the role We are currently seeking a Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join us on the Eastern Freeway Burke to Tram Alliance.

You will support the implementation of the project's Health & Safety Management Plan and ensure "best for project" outcomes are achieved.
As well as running a team of Advisors and Coordinators, you will work closely with senior management and package delivery teams, to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance are adhered to.
About you Formal qualifications in Health & Safety Lead Auditor & ICAM Lead Investigator qualifications are desirable.
Previous exposure across Major Infrastructure Projects, Construction, Rail or Heavy Industrial environments within Tier 1 organisations is highly desirable.
