About the Role: Our client, a leading engineering firm specializing in energy transition solutions, is seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer to join their dynamic team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on various exciting and challenging projects, including brownfield and greenfield high-voltage (HV) substations and utility-scale renewable energy projects.
Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with project development, engineering, and commissioning teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
Lead commissioning activities for utility substations, focusing on safety and efficiency.
Manage outages and commissioning complexities to minimize project risks.
Test advanced protection schemes and substation primary equipment.
Perform SCADA points testing for substations.
Must-Have Skills/Experience: Degree in Electrical Engineering or Advanced Diploma in Power Systems.
6 to 8 years of experience in utility substation commissioning, with expertise in brownfield substation commissioning.
Authorization as a VESI Tester on the Aus Net Network and other utilities in Victoria.
Proficiency in using testing equipment such as Omicron CPC100, CMC356, and Doble Relay Simulation.
Advanced communication skills and flexibility to travel as required.
