Senior Legal Advisor - Commercial Transactions

About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Advisor to join our team at Legal People. As a trusted advisor, you will provide strategic legal input into business decisions and advise on a wide range of commercial, compliance, and regulatory issues.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Legal Input: Provide accurate, commercially astute, and timely advice across a broad range of issues, with a focus on drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.Contract Management: Conduct thorough legal research, draft and review contracts, negotiate deals, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Policy Development: Develop standards, template agreements, playbooks, and other educational resources to educate internal stakeholders on relevant legal issues.Team Support: Assist the General Manager with briefing and coordinating external legal advisors, monitor the quality, value, and timeliness of services provided, and provide support, guidance, and technical assistance to more junior members of the legal team.About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a background as a Commercial (transactional) Lawyer, gained within private practice and in-house experience. Ideal candidates will have:
7+ years PQE as a transactional (commercial) lawyer, including experience in handling complex transactions.Experience working in a regulated environment.Experience with technology/IT contracts and service agreements.Ability to focus on pragmatic implementations and legal principles in a corporate environment.Attention to detail to ensure that all procedural requirements are met in accordance with key regulations/legislation.Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.Highly developed, effective prioritisation skills.What's on OfferWe offer an inclusive, respectful, and motivated culture, excellent support and resources, flexible working options, an attractive remuneration package, and salary packaging benefits.
