Department: Department of Justice and Community Safety Contact: Erin Williams on 0475 866 507 The Department of Justice and Community Safety is seeking a Senior Manager Licensing and Transformation to provide a critical role within Liquor Control Victoria's Licensing and Transformation team.
About the Business Unit Liquor Control Victoria was established on 1 July 2022 and comprises the independent Victorian Liquor Commission and staff from the Department of Justice and Community Safety.
Liquor Control Victoria is responsible for issuing liquor licences and overseeing industry compliance and enforcement to ensure that Victorians and visitors to the state enjoy safe and responsible liquor licensed environments.

About the Role Working closely with the Director, Licensing and Transformation and other people managers, the Senior Manager Licensing and Transformation will provide operational and program support to promote the delivery of performance standards.
The role will play a lead role in responding and providing expert advice on escalated and complex matters.
As the Senior Manager Licensing and Transformation, some of your duties will include: Working closely with the Director to provide strategic and operational support during a period of change in the organisation.
Providing leadership, advice, direction and support to people managers, including day-to-day delegation as required, management of performance, and identification of staff learning and development needs.
Leading strategic planning processes and contribute to and implement strategic corporate initiatives and endorsed policy within the functional area.
In collaboration with Executives and peer managers, leading and navigating change as required by the program.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Experience in the development and implementation of operational strategy to enable delivery of organisational strategic objectives.
Experience in leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams to implement and achieve planned, measurable outcomes and improvements, including experience in developing and building a positive workplace culture.
Demonstrated experience in providing high quality advice on a range of complex issues within limited time constraints, including authoritative advice to senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to collate, use and report on operational and program performance data to support effective decision making and improved performance.
Demonstrated ability to interpret and apply legislation, preferably in a regulatory environment.
A qualification in public administration, regulatory studies, law or other relevant discipline would be desirable.
