Senior Medical Staff Manager (Grade 5), Medical Workforce Unit Employment Type - Permanent Full Time Hours per fortnight - 80 Job Category - Management - Line - Non Clinical About the Role This is a key position within the Medical Workforce unit providing advice, support and the delivery of customer-focused service to the Medical Specialist and Senior Medical workforce at Barwon Health, as well as key internal and external customers.
The role is responsible for ensuring services are appropriately delivered pertaining to the recruitment, appointment, variations & credentialing of Medical Specialists employed at Barwon Health and as the subject matter expert (SME) for all Medical Specialist Agreement matters within the Medical Workforce Unit.
The primary objective of this role is to provide advice and direction for improved people management practices and decision-making for all medical staff across the organisation.
The role will provide advice to Clinical Directors, Heads of Unit and their teams to ensure best practice recruitment and adherence to the enterprise agreement.
This role will also provide advice to managers of all directorates on key Workplace relations issues through the development of strong working relationships and strong communication.
Participation in on-call roster may be required.
Key Responsibilities Deliver expert advice on recruitment, appointment, and credentialing for Medical Specialists at Barwon Health.
Support Clinical Directors and managers in best practice people management and workplace relations.
