Our client is a high profile fashion retailer who are seeking a passionate and driven Merchandise Planner to join the team based in Melbourne. Reporting to the Planning Manager amongst a well established team, you will take responsibility for optimizing brand performance by implementing strategies to achieve sales, gross margin and inventory goals across your category.
Key Responsibilities Manage OTB in line with monthly targets Identify and provide accurate insights into current and future trading patterns in relation to Sales, Margin and Promotion activity Develop department forecasts and execute merchandise category plans that are aligned with the forward strategy Develop a range assortment through option plans offering the right mix of product to meet customer needs Product lifecycle management focus on ensuring aged stock is cleared in a timely manner Manage direct reports effectively and ensure optimal performance About You To be successful in these roles you must have: Previous experience in a merchandise planning role within apparel and/or retail in a similar head office role.
Experience working in a fast paced, multi-channel environment Demonstrated knowledge and experience in merchandise planning, OTB management and ROI principles You have an analytical mindset with strong decision-making skills Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels Exceptional time management and organisational skills Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills Salary is negotiable commensurate with experience Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
