Senior Payroll Officer with minimum 10 years in payroll Head Office in Essendon Fields Our client, the largest multi-faceted and vertically integrated civil construction group across Australia, is in search for an experienced payroll professional to take on the role of Senior Payroll Officer for the Group.
Reporting to the Group CFO, the successful incumbent must have collaborative leadership, highly analytical skills, the ability to meet associated deadlines, a proven track record in delivering the needed accuracy and efficiency across the payroll function, minimum of 10 years within the payroll function, and a high level of computer proficiency including intermediate MS Excel skills.
The objective of the Senior Payroll Officer is to efficiently manage the payroll function across the company nationally and ensure compliance with legislative requirements and changes relating to payroll.
The office location for this role is in the Essendon region of Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities: Proven experience processing payroll and managing complex payroll issues.
Experience regarding the application of industrial awards, enterprise agreements, and legislative conditions.
Experience with payroll systems; in particular, SAP Success Factors would be desirable.
Must have an understanding of Superannuation Legislation and ATO Termination Pay requirements.
Ensure compliance with relevant payroll EBA's, related legislation, and national standards.
Manage all statutory lodgements and payments of PAYGW tax, superannuation contributions, STP, payroll tax, portable long service leave.
Work closely with Human Resources to produce and maintain workforce metrics and employee data, including high-level analysis and reporting.
Coordinate and manage weekly/fortnightly/monthly end-to-end payroll functions.
Assist with the implementation and parallel testing of SAP Success Factors and future T&A electronic system.
