About the role As a newly created position, we are looking for an energetic Senior People & Culture Business Partner to join our team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to business strategy while being hands-on in supporting our key operational areas.
The ideal candidate will thrive on strategic delivering people initiatives while rolling up their sleeves to ensure delivery across our diverse operations.
Partnering closely with the Chief Operating Officer and senior leaders, your primary focus will be supporting our Operations Division including operating assets, subsurface and projects.
As part of your planned success, you will be required to travel to and spend time at our regional operational assets to support building relationships and delivery of activities.
Key Responsibilities: Provide expert HR advice on key areas such as employee relations, resourcing, performance management, learning and development, organisation design, leadership, talent and succession planning, and change management.
Manage industrial/employee relations matters, including liaising with unions and leading enterprise bargaining processes.
Collaborate with other members of the People & Culture team to establish core learning frameworks for all personnel.
Lead the design, development, and execution of People & Culture projects that drive talent development, cultural evolution and operational change, ensuring these initiatives translate into measurable business improvements.
Ensure people strategies across the Operations Division support succession planning, staff selection, new employee programs, policies and procedures, and cultural engagement.
Promote compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSEC) policies, and actively contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
About you This role has a degree of autonomy where your reliability and trustworthiness will play a critical role in the delivery of business requirements and priorities.
Proven experience as a Senior Business Partner in oil and gas or a similar industry, with a strong track record in leading both strategic initiatives and operational HR support.
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Significant experience with industrial relations and enterprise agreement negotiations.
Proven track record in delivering strategic people initiatives that support organisational goals.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to prepare management reports and documentation.
C-Class driver's licence, with the willingness to regularly travel to operational assets to build relationships and ensure the effective implementation of activities on the ground.
