Senior People & Culture Business Partner Our client is a leading national NFP in the health sector and you will be based at their State Head Office in Richmond where you will report to the General Manager, People & Culture. This role is ideal for someone eager to grow and take on increasing responsibilities over time. It's a true end-to-end generalist position covering workplace relations, employee relations, health and safety investigations, award interpretation, and day-to-day support for line managers on people issues. The HR team is high-performing, fast-paced, and operates with high standards.Key responsibilities include:Develop effective business partnerships especially with your unit and understand the requirements.Provide advice and support with respect to the IR/ER environment including identifying and escalating organisational change, workforce planning and restructures.Provide expert advice to develop awareness of human resource policies, promote compliance and facilitate best practice outcomes and mitigate risk.Partner with stakeholders to assist with ongoing development, implementation and review of policies and procedures, insights into strategic decisions across the organisation.Coach and provide expert advice to leaders on initiatives and processes to build capability.Prepare and analyse HR metrics for reporting on a regular basis.Support L&D and performance management across the wider business.About you:You will need to have demonstrated experience in a similar HR position where you have managed complex ER cases. Preferably, in the NFP sector or a unionised workforce (e.g Health/Aged Care/Disability sectors).A tertiary qualification in HR is preferred but not essential as is some experience with providing L&D support.Some leadership experience or leadership potential to grow and support others.Be well researched in government legislation and compliance and have managed complex ER cases.Tech savvy, able to spot opportunities for automation and process improvement along with solid MS Office skills.Be a resilient and strong relationship builder who can maintain composure, balance workload and conflicting priorities, and effectively handle difficult situations with internal and external stakeholders.Be influential and able to provide clear and concise feedback and act with integrity at all times.This hybrid position requires two days in-office (Wednesday being a key collaboration day) and allows flexibility, including one day per week at Essendon if convenient.
