Your knowledge of the Victoria Planning Provisions and exposure to statutory planning processes will ensure that you can prepare high quality, timely referral advice to decision makers in the planning process. The role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams across DEECA including technical experts on biodiversity matters and the ability to foster and maintain relationships with key partners across DEECA and other government stakeholders. Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications A tertiary qualification in land use planning and experience in application of Victoria's planning system and environmental regulation framework is mandatory. Contemporary understanding of the Victoria Planning Provisions and the development of place based strategic plans is desirable. Experience in preparing and delivering land use planning advice and managing approval inputs into environmental impact assessment is desirable. An understanding of current issues in regional planning and environmental consideration when planning for residential growth. This is an ongoing position.
