Hobsons Bay Civic Centre - 115 Civic Parade Altona Salary: Band 7 - $102,953- $114,927 + superannuation Role includes an RDO Join our Project Management Office (PMO) team as a Senior Project Manager and play a key role in shaping the Council's long-term capital works portfolio.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the portfolio, working closely with stakeholders to ensure effective forward planning and project delivery.
We are seeking a candidate with substantial experience in due diligence reviews, defining project scopes, budgeting, and strategic procurement within infrastructure planning and delivery.
You will also lead the rollout and maintenance of the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool, enhancing how we plan and deliver projects across the Council.
What you'll be working on Manage the delivery of the development of the Council's five-year Capital Works Program, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, asset management plans, and stakeholder requirements.
Conduct due diligence reviews of Capital Works projects to enhance the development of the long-term capital works program.
Manage the rollout, implementation, and maintenance of the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool, ensuring their integration into the Council's project processes.
What you need to succeed Tertiary qualification in architecture, civil engineering, landscape architecture, project management or equivalent with several years of substantial experience.
A post graduate qualification or additional tertiary qualifications in project or business management would be considered an advantage.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to negotiate, collaborate and manage stakeholders, consultants and contractors in a complex public sector environment.
