About Us The Senior Project Officer role sits within the Legal Services Coordination team who are responsible for the management of the Victorian Government Legal Services Panel as well as major projects that drive and develop innovation in government legal services.
You will work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders across the Victorian Government and the department as well as deliver considered, authoritative advice and support to senior stakeholders.
You will report on progress against project deliverables, including independent and self-managed activities.
You will also strategically assess the project environment to monitor risks that may impact project completion.
About The Role In the role of Senior Project Officer, you will provide highly skilled support towards the planning, coordination, and delivery of a major Whole of Victorian Government strategic project to drive innovation and savings to government legal services.
This is an exciting opportunity to form part of an innovative and creative team to design and deliver a critical project that has strong support from across government.
Some Of Your Duties Will Include Providing high quality and strictly confidential project support in a timely manner while delivering on key milestones and ensuring projects stay on track.
Undertaking a range of complex and highly skilled project activities and lead in implementing project outcomes under limited guidance from the Senior Manager.
Engaging, consulting and working collaboratively with key partners and stakeholders to proactively source and share information, and identify any risks, issues, and improvement opportunities.
About You As an ideal candidate, you will possess: Demonstrated experience of working in government and an ability to successfully navigate government systems and processes.
Demonstrated experience in supporting and/or leading delivery of complex programs of work, including project, program or policy implementation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Well-developed written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.
Advanced Skills in Microsoft software and the ability to learn and use new systems.
Qualifications A tertiary qualification in law would be advantageous but is not required.
