THE ROLE This position will work as part of a new team to prepare for implementation and delivery of Victorian Government Redress for people who experienced abuse and neglect in historic institutional settings prior to 1990 (Victorian Redress).
Working in close collaboration with the other Victorian Redress teams, the Strategy, Policy and Infrastructure team will provide critical policy analysis, advice, briefings and reports, and undertake research to further inform the design, implementation and delivery of the Victorian Redress model endorsed by Government.
This position will play a critical role in undertaking project management activities and will deliver robust financial and administrative functions to assist to prepare for, implement and deliver the Victorian Redress program.
Additional key components of the role will include contributing to the development and delivery of processes and procedures to implement the Victorian Redress program and deliver high quality services on time and within budget.
The position is responsible for working with a range of stakeholders, including other Victorian Government departments and jurisdictions, as well as people who have experienced institutional child abuse and neglect.
Please note: this position requires dealing with sensitive material that can be emotionally challenging.
This role will best suit resilient and empathetic candidates with experience in dealing with sensitive and distressing material.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Lead the development and delivery of robust financial and administrative processes and procedures to implement the Victorian Redress program endorsed by Government and deliver high quality services on time and within budget.
Contribute to the full life cycle of projects to meet departmental objectives including: Undertaking research, analysis and implementation of projects based on defined outcomes and outputs.
Managing projects or sub-projects and being accountable for the successful delivery and completion of the projects/sub-projects within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
Monitoring and evaluating projects to ensure departmental objectives are met.
Develop and maintain project plans, including risks and mitigation strategies.
