Senior Project Officer, Governance and Integrity Salary: $109,730 to $132,764 (Plus Superannuation) Fixed term role: to 19 November 2025 (Parental Leave replacement) Usual hours of work: Full time (flexibility may be available) Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available) The Role The Senior Project Officer, Governance and Integrity, role is responsible for the development and implementation of integrity and/or governance policies and projects to support the Victorian sport and active recreation sector to be well-governed, safe, welcoming and inclusive.
This role is responsible for developing and implementing policies and projects that identify sustainable initiatives to strengthen sport governance and/or enhance integrity practices of the Victorian community sport and active recreation sector, promoting appropriate standards of behaviour across the state.
The Senior Project Officer is also responsible for effectively managing key relationships with policy makers, subject matter experts and sector organisations.
Key accountabilities: Ensure the effective delivery of key governance and/or integrity policies, procedures, standards and guidelines to strengthen the Victorian sport and active recreation sector.
Work collaboratively across the sector to increase knowledge and capability of organisations to appropriately manage integrity threats through education and awareness, and/or to implement strong governance policies and processes.
This may include working with key stakeholders such as Sport Integrity Australia, the Australian Sports Commission and the Commission for Children and Young People to ensure the sport and active recreation sector is up to date on relevant standards, policies, practices and legislation.
Coordinate SRV's governance and/or integrity functions, including engagement with external and inter-departmental integrity focused agencies and subject matter experts, and internal and external reporting requirements.
Provide authoritative, timely and accurate advice on governance and/or integrity matters such as member protection, child safety, board quotas or anti-doping to departmental staff, agencies and stakeholders.
This includes preparation and presentation of reports, Ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions as required.
The Team The position of Senior Project Officer forms a part of the Sport and Recreation Victoria branch with the Sport and Experience Economy Group.

About You The person appointed will be a self-motivated team player who is passionate about safe, inclusive and 'fair sport' and enjoys the challenges of implementing a change agenda.
They will also have strong knowledge of sport governance and/or integrity.
