Your Role
Deliver Incident Investigations Involving Analysing Matters Concerning:
Powered mobile plant vs pedestrians
Control rooms and data centres
Machinery incidents (including guarding)
Structural failures, including scaffolding
Trips and falls
Product failures
Deliver engineering safety consulting projects for clients. Typical projects include:
Assessment of ladders, stairways, and platforms
Workplace safety audits and inspections
Manual handling risk assessments relating to high or sudden forces
About You
Minimum Bachelor of Engineering Degree Qualification, most likely in mechanical engineering either already having or with a pathway to get REPV
Post-graduate qualifications or relevant work experience in any of: Ergonomics; Product Engineering; Process Engineering; Traffic Management Planning; Structured problem-solving disciplines (e.g. 8D); Risk engineering or Work Health and Safety.
Around 10 years proven experience as a professional engineer
Experience in incident investigation and/or product or system failure analysis
Experience in developing practical solutions to safety (or similar technical) problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to write clear and succinct reports which effectively communicate complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
