Training opportunity on cloud technology and across multiple analytics platform Our Story The IT Shared Solutions (ITSS) Division is a collaboration area in which the TAC and Work Safe share resources to deliver IT solutions to both organisations.
The TAC is a Victorian Government-owned organisation whose role is to promote road safety, support those who have been injured on our roads and help them get their lives back on track.
Work Safe Victoria plays a critical role in the lives of Victorian employers and workers - as the state's health and safety regulator and as the manager of Victoria's workers compensation scheme.
In both capacities, employers and workers are at the heart of our service.
The successful applicant for this role will be employed by TAC but will work across both organisations.

About the Role TAC and Work Safe are in the process of delivering the two largest cloud based data initiatives in the history of both the organisations.
These initiatives will enable TAC and Work Safe to become data centric and data driven.
The support analyst will work closely with the analytics experts – learning and implementing cutting edge analytics solutions that will enable the TAC and Work Safe to become prevention led.
The Support Analyst will provide a range of technical services in the Analytics Space – building solutions, supporting, maintaining, deploying and enhancing applications.
This will incorporate management, monitoring and resolution of support issues, the identification of improvement opportunities and production of documentation to enable greater levels of self-help.
Key to success will be the identification and delivery of initiatives to achieve significant reductions in the volume of support and service requests raised.
There are multiple formal training opportunities and well as scope to test, try and learn new technologies on the role.
The successful candidate will be mentored and will have the opportunities to learn and grow within the organisation.

Selecting and applying nonstandard business intelligence tools and techniques to provide insights and aid decision-making.
Ensuring that incidents are handled according to agreed procedures.
Using application management software and tools to investigate issues, collecting performance statistics and creating reports.
Supporting analysis of patterns and trends to improve problem management processes.
Supporting business intelligence needs of specific management or governance processes or operational areas.
Investigating the need for business intelligence reporting and analysis where there is some complexity and ambiguity.
What you'll need to succeed? Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to manage the end-to-end resolution process for assigned tasks through in-depth analysis, review and application of expert knowledge.
Advanced professional written communication skills; proven ability to write quality business documentation, functional artefacts, and technical documentation for a wide variety of audiences and purposes.
Strong conceptual and analytical skills and an ability to think laterally to identify practical and workable solutions.
Exposure to application support and lifecycle management, deployment management, environment configuration, including but not limited to; ITIL, Dev Ops, and/or Agile.
Development and administration skills of analytics applications such as SAS, Qlik Sense, Power BI, and data integration/ETL platforms and technologies is highly desired.
SQL programming and UNIX shells scripting would be beneficial Skill or experience working in Azure SQL DB, Azure Synapse, ADF, Infosphere MDM, AWS RDS would be desirable Influence real change.
