About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our national finance team at BDO.
In this role, you will be an integral part of our growing finance team, offering exposure to see a firm undergoing a new system implementation, internal process reviews, and the opportunity to contribute to process improvements and automation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Preparation of high-level complex tax returns, Business Activity Statements, and Instalment Activity Statements for both consolidated and non-consolidated entities (including Trusts) within the BDO Group.
Involvement in Fringe Benefits Tax reviews and preparation of return.
Preparation of Partner Tax packs, Payment Times Reporting Scheme data, and Bank Covenant reporting.
Support with Key Risk Indicator reporting, ABS surveys, and the monthly compliance report.
Liaising with People & Culture Mobility, the Corporate Tax team, and external auditors where required.
Coaching and mentoring junior staff.
About You 4+ years of experience as a Tax Accountant.
Bachelor of Business/ Accounting (or other relevant tertiary qualifications).
CA/ CPA Qualified (or working towards).
Experience with APS, Great Plains, Workday, Onesource, Caseware, and Xero (preferred but not essential).
High level of competency in using Microsoft Office suite and tools (especially Excel and Power Query).
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members and stakeholders with strong communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically about processes and identify efficiencies.
