Senior Traffic Engineer Salary: $98,273.24 per annum Closing: Friday 25 October 2024 Full time - Permanent Council is offering the opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Senior Traffic Engineer to join the Engineering and Assets Department, based within Council's Infrastructure Directorate.
This role primarily consists of: Provide Council wide expert technical advice on road traffic, and public transport management, road safety, and park infrastructure.
Lead the Councils Mobility and Road Safety Strategy and the safety and accessibility programs that sit within it.
Ensure Council infrastructure and road design complies with all statutory traffic rules, design standards and guidelines.
Mentor and train Council staff on traffic engineering design, and road safety, and parking infrastructure.
The successful applicant will have extensive experience in this field of civil engineering and hold a degree in Civil Engineering with Professional Engineers Registration in line with the Professional Engineers Act 2019.
Effective communication skills to prepare design briefs, engage and collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders, and deliver exceptional customer service will also ensure your success in this role.
