Some might even say it feels like being "right at home." 12 month, parental leave cover contract Join our collaborative and dynamic People & Culture team Flexible hybrid working model – work from our Docklands Support Office or from the comfort of your home About the Role: Myer is looking for an experienced Senior Workplace Relations Specialist to manage Myer's Employee Relations (ER) portfolio.
This role is essential in coaching and supporting People & Culture Business Partners, providing expert ER advice, and managing complex employee litigation matters.
You will be well-versed in interpreting enterprise agreements, preferably in a retail environment.
This is a maternity leave replacement role for approximately 12 months.
Key Responsibilities: Provide expert guidance and education to People & Culture Business Partners on a wide range of HR and ER issues.
Strong skills in interpretation and understanding enterprise agreements and interacting with employee representatives, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Interpret, update and apply HR policies and procedures, including performance improvement plans and managing ill and injured workers.
Offer guidance and advocacy on external matters in the Fair Work Commission and Australian Human Rights Commission, including unfair dismissal, general protections and discrimination claims.
Manage employee litigation matters across the business.
Contribute to research and analysis for key projects that support the delivery of Myer's People Strategy.
About You: Extensive experience in enterprise agreement interpretation, with strong knowledge of relevant employment legislation.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.
Strong relationship-building skills with the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
A practical, commercial approach to HR and ER matters.
Strong research, analytical, and technical skills.
A qualification in Law or Industrial/Employee Relations is preferred, along with experience in industrial advocacy and enterprise bargaining.
