This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
Job Description The Workforce Specialist at Alternaleaf will manage the contractual obligations of our team of 100 independent contractor doctors.
This role involves enforcing performance standards, ensuring availability, maintaining contract inputs to guarantee clear Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and adherence to standards, and working with People and Clinical Support teams on performance management of doctors.
You will work both individually with doctors and collectively, with a team of specialists to build a best-in-class cohort management system.
Key Responsibilities: Contract Management: Oversee and manage the contractual obligations of independent contractor doctors Ensure all contracts are up-to-date, compliant with regulations, and accurately reflect the terms of service Maintain clear and concise records of all contractual agreements and modifications Performance Standards: Enforce performance standards and availability requirements as per the contracts Develop and implement mechanisms to monitor and evaluate doctor performance against SLAs Identify and address any non-compliance or performance issues promptly Operational Stream Responsibilities: Work within the wider doctor team to support operational efficiency and effectiveness Manage all non-clinical responsibilities related to the independent contractor doctors Collaborate with other operational teams to ensure seamless integration of services Workforce Management: Build and maintain a best-in-class contingent workforce management solution Develop clear dashboards for monitoring doctor performance and availability Find innovative ways to surface performance data to doctors for self-regulation and improvement Data and Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards to monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) Provide regular reports to the Head of Doctors and other relevant stakeholders Use data insights to drive improvements in performance and adherence to SLAs Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Head of Doctors and other team members to ensure alignment of goals and objectives Communicate effectively with independent contractor doctors to clarify expectations and provide feedback Foster a collaborative and supportive environment within the doctor team People and Clinical Support Coordination: Work with the People team and Clinical Support teams to terminate and offboard doctors who are not meeting performance standards Ensure a smooth transition and maintain clear communication during the offboarding process Team Collaboration: Be part of a team of contract administrators working collectively to build a best-in-class cohort management system Collaborate with fellow contract administrators to share best practices and standardise processes Contribute to team meetings and strategy sessions to enhance overall contract administration and doctor management Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry best practices in contract administration and workforce management Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and professional development Qualifications Our ideal candidate will possess the ability to navigate challenging conversations while maintaining a positive and engaged workforce.
Experience in working with doctors or other healthcare professionals will be highly valued.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract administration/management, preferably in a healthcare setting 2+ years experience working within generalist HR function or workforce management role would be advantageous Strong understanding of contractual obligations, SLAs, and performance management Excellent organisational and time-management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in using data management and reporting tools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across different departments Additional Information You'll be joining a highly motivated, agile team where your ideas and work will directly influence the direction and progress of an expanding global company in a hyper-growth phase.
