About the Role Located at our Longwarry site, you will be responsible for observing, checking, testing, and recording duties of our equipment related to chemical treatment systems and boilers, ensuring their efficient and safe operation.
Responsibilities include: Daily boiler water sampling and testing, utilities readings, boilers manual blowdown/draining, checking and recording.
Operate and Maintain DAF and Wastewater Treatment Plant.
Weekly pond dynamics and chemical levels.
Coordinate Nalco for system checks.
Maintenance of TDS blowdowns.
Reporting of any abnormal problems.
Project work as required.
Assist in the training of new staff and/or functions when required.
Pro-actively seek continuous improvement opportunities within the business.
Promote and participate in the Safety Management System and develop a proactive safety culture.
About you: Tertiary (TAFE or University) qualification in Mechanical Fitter or related fields (desired).
Proven field service experience in a similar technical role - must have a mechanical aptitude and experience using a wide range of hand tools.
Industrial experience and knowledge - FMCG.
Excellent numeracy & literary skills.
Impeccable attention to detail.
The ability to plan and organise work.
To work independently or as part of a team.
