Business Services & Corporate Advisory (Accounting) Full time Extensive training and development opportunities As a Manager at RSM in our SMSF division, you will have a broad range of technical, client, and supervisory responsibilities.
From a technical point of view, you will contribute to the preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, and business activity statements for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs).
In addition to this, you will have responsibility for overseeing a portfolio of clients and managing a team of junior staff to deliver work in a timely and accurate manner and finally provide support to Partners to grow the SMSF division.
Although we are looking for a Manager candidate, if you are a Senior Manager and are interested in working with RSM, we would be very interested to speak to you as well.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Review SMSF work papers and ensure appropriate evidence is documented before the file goes to Audit.
Share knowledge, best practices, and industry market trends to actively increase the overall knowledge of the team.
Meet with clients and form positive relationships to identify value-added opportunities.
Manage workflow of the team and communicate with the partner on a frequent basis on necessary matters.
Review work of team members.
Prepare financial statements in accordance with all current legal and accounting reporting standards.
Meet lodgement and other reporting deadlines.
Apply knowledge of the SMSF Legislation & related case law to client circumstances.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Business / Commerce degree with Accounting Major Completed or working towards completion of CA or equivalent Completed SMSF specialist course DEMONSTRATED EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES: 5-7 years' experience in Professional Services Previous experience managing a team Experience with CLASS Strong Communication Skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Committed to continuing professional development Business Development exposure What's On Offer As a firm, RSM offers a competitive salary and employee benefits, opportunity for personal and professional development, and a friendly and supportive environment.
