The Organisation: Mental Health and Wellbeing Services, forming part of Mildura Base Public Hospital, offers a range of inpatient, residential and community-based services for people with mental illness across the lifespan in the Northern Mallee Region. About the Positions: The Mental Health Early Careers Program offers allied health and nursing professionals a supported learning program, delivered within a positive and safe environment. It aims to develop new skills, knowledge, applied experience and values for early career professionals to become effective members of the mental health team. Program includes: Rotations within different teams/settings Education and training days Individual learning plan and study time Discipline specific supervision Group supervision Discovery Day opportunities to learn about other programs Support from Allied Health Educator About You: Applications are invited from social work graduates who have less than two years in professional practice. Successful applicants will have an authentic desire to improve the lives of people with mental health conditions and to develop a career in an interprofessional setting. You will be a keen and curious learner and passionate about delivering a high standard of care to consumers, families, carers and supporters. Candidates must meet the necessary key selection criteria outlined in the relevant position descriptions. Positions are available to commence from early Feb 2025 and offered on either a full-time or part-time (0.8), fixed term 12-month basis. This program is derived from the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health system recommendations.
