About The Role: This is a fixed term, part time position at 0.4 EFT to cover parental leave within the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service at the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne.
You will be responsible for assessing and treating paediatric inpatients and outpatients with communication and/or swallowing difficulties as part of the multidisciplinary paediatric rehabilitation service at the Royal Children's Hospital.
The position will receive support and supervision from a senior speech pathologist within the team.
Classification for this position will range from VW1-VW4 Grade 2 Year 1 to Grade 2 Year 4 (FTE base salary per annum $88,467 - $101,691 plus superannuation).

Work effectively and flexibly within an interdisciplinary paediatric rehabilitation team.
Your Skills and Experience: Hold a degree in speech pathology from an accredited university.
Be eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia and meet the requirements of the SPA professional self-regulation program.
Experience in the provision of speech pathology services to children with communication and swallowing disorders.
Clinical experience in rehabilitation management of children or adolescents with acquired brain injury and neuro-developmental disorders.

About The Department: The role sits within the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service (VPRS), which is a state-wide specialist service that caters for the complex rehabilitation needs of children and adolescents aimed at functional maximisation.
The case load is varied directed towards family centred, goal-based interventions for children following Acquired Brain Injury, spinal cord injury, and other complex medical conditions.
The interdisciplinary team treats both inpatients and outpatients within the rehabilitation service.
