Job Description Location: Melbourne | CBD Job type: Ongoing - Full Time Organisation: Suburban Rail Loop Authority Salary: $134,593 - $180,115 Occupation: Strategic Management Reference: 5776 About the opportunity The Strategic Adviser, Office of the Chief Operating Officer has a varied and complex role, directed by the key strategic priorities and imperatives facing the Chief Operating Officer (COO).
The position is responsible for providing support, policy advice and briefing tasks to support the COO, their Office and the Executive Leadership team, as well as following issues and activities through to ensure outcomes are achieved.
The Strategic Adviser, Office of the Chief Operating Officer manages sensitive, critical and complex policy, planning and operational issues as required by the COO.
The role will provide expert advice to the COO on current and emerging issues, prioritising those which are urgent and guiding their management where appropriate.
This role will from time-to-time lead on specialised, confidential, and complex initiatives, informed by a strong knowledge of organisational, governance and legislative requirements and may also be required to undertake complex research and provide advice where required.
The successful candidate will be required to exercise considerable initiative and advanced analytical and communication skills to resolve issues and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
