Planned Resources are seeking an experienced Strategic Communications Coordinator to lead the communications and marketing efforts, ensuring high standards and impactful outreach across all channels.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement strategic communication and marketing plans, delivering high-quality print, online, and multimedia materials that align with councils vision and values.
Proactively promote a positive image of the council through corporate communication channels and innovative campaigns.
Drive creative approaches to enhance council's reputation and foster deeper community engagement.
Provide timely and accurate communications and engagement advice to both internal and external stakeholders, helping achieve policy and program goals.
Lead complex internal and external communication projects, ensuring their timely and successful completion.
Oversee internal communications strategies and key staff events, promoting the council's vision and ensuring consistency across messaging.
Support the design and execution of employee communication strategies to foster strong internal engagement.
Provide strategic advice on managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring participation in decision-making processes by both internal and external audiences, including hard-to-reach communities.
Identify and address issues that could impact Council's reputation, offering strategic solutions to mitigate risks.
Lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing communications team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Align the communications branch's strategic vision with the Council Plan and broader organisational strategies.
Who You Are: Proven experience in strategic communications, public relations, or marketing.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team to deliver high-quality work.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on creative and engaging content development.
Experience in managing complex communication projects and strategies.
Ability to provide strategic advice on issues and stakeholder management.
Strong political judgment, creativity, and initiative.
