Apply now Job no: 499176 Work type: Permanent Full Time Classification: Band 7 ($100,064 - $110,990 pa)Categories: Business Strategy & Improvement About the role In this role, you will collaborate with different business units to design and support organisational strategy while managing the planning catalogue and ensuring accurate information.
You'll engage with stakeholders, providing guidance and overseeing governance processes, as well as lead face-to-face workshops and offer strategic advice.
Additionally, you'll contribute to generating the council plan and play a key role in community engagement efforts.
Key responsibilities include: Advocate a customer first culture in the business unit and proactively drive innovations to push the boundaries of what is possible in delivering value to our customers and community.
Support the development and education of the City's Council Plan, Organisation Strategy, strategic frameworks, and models.
Support the rationalisation and ongoing governance of the City's Plan and Strategy Catalogue, ensuring all strategies and plans are designed to support the City's strategic directions through the identification of clear outcomes, actions and performance indicators.
Support the design and delivery of ELT & Councillor Strategy Sessions, strategy and innovation events.
Train and actively support others in the team by sharing knowledge to achieve common development goals.
Execute, monitor, and report on work progress against plans and budgets to ensure timely delivery in line with the relevant regulations and policies.
Support routine problem-solving and continuous improvement activities by identifying and addressing gaps and inefficiencies to minimise financial waste.
About you To be successful in this role, you will have some professional experience in strategy and organisational effectiveness in a comparable organisation.
A tertiary qualification in business, strategy, partnership management, business analytics, commerce or related discipline and some professional experience in a similar in a comparable organisation.
Demonstrated people skills to support, influence, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders.
Good problem-solving and stakeholder management skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders to achieve task outcomes.
Developed writing and speaking skills to align with stakeholders and achieve support for task outcomes.
Proven ability to effectively facilitate workshops and conversations, and influence, negotiate and gain credibility with senior stakeholders to achieve support.
A Current Victorian Drivers Licence.
Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City).
