About the Role An exciting new opportunity has become available for a Strategy Analyst to join the Energy Hubs team based at our Bourke Street, Melbourne office.
Reporting to the Manager – Strategy & Analysis, you will be responsible for providing support across a broad range of strategic, commercial, and site enabling (infrastructure and operational planning) activities.
This is a dynamic, outcomes-focused role, involving a high degree of strategic thinking, stakeholder management, and working in a quickly evolving work environment.
Your key responsibilities will be: Contribute to the development of Hub-specific strategies and development plans.
Undertake analysis and prepare business cases to underpin decision making and recommendations for the AGL executive team and Board.
Support the development process for key partnering opportunities, from initiation of the feasibility stage through to detailed design and setting commercial terms.
Support Energy Hub strategic initiatives such as the development of Government funding requests, preparation of regular and ad-hoc reports, EOI/tender processes, potential industry/technology/market evaluations.
Develop and present proposals to the Executive Team for approval, highlighting areas of risk and opportunity and alignment with Energy Hub development objectives.
Sourcing and documenting inputs, and assisting in the development and maintenance of financial models to facilitate evaluation of projects and partner opportunities.
About You To be successful, you'll have: Demonstrated experience in an analytical, strategic, or commercial role, from within the energy industry or a related industry such as consulting or mining.
Strategic problem-solving skills, with an aptitude for complex decision making.
Strong interpersonal skills with exceptional verbal and written communication and ability to liaise & negotiate effectively.
Corporate narrative skills to effectively communicate complex issues to senior and executive stakeholders for informed decision making.
Knowledge or experience in screening of technology & partnership opportunities for strategic commercial alignment is highly regarded.
Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly regarded.
