Keeping Washington Clean and Evergreen The Water Resources (WR) program within the Department of Ecology is looking to fill two Streamflow Restoration Project Manager (Environmental Planner 3) positions.
These positions can be located in any of the below locations: Headquarters Office in Lacey, WA.
Northwest Region Office (NWRO) in Shoreline, WA.
Central Region Office (CRO) in Union Gap, WA.
Eastern Region Office (ERO) in Spokane, WA.
Upon hire, you must live within a commutable distance from the duty station.
Please Note: If the final location of the position is determined to be in our Northwest Region Office (NWRO) in Shoreline, WA , there will be an additional 5% pay increase due to its location in King County.
In this instance, the salary range will be $5,776 - $7,770 per month.
As a Streamflow Restoration Project Manager, you will support the Water Resources program by managing projects within a water resource grant portfolio valued in millions of dollars.
This portfolio is an integral component of the Water Resources Program's $300 million, 15-year, competitive grant program.

Program Mission: The mission of the Water Resources (WR) program is to manage water resources to meet the current and future needs of the natural environment and Washington's communities.
Tele-work options for this position: These positions will have flexibility of a hybrid schedule, empowering work from home and office, providing less time in traffic and shrinking your carbon footprint.
This position will be eligible for up to a 90% tele-work schedule.

What makes this role unique? As a project manager in the Grants unit, you will work on a dynamic team of engaged water resources professionals who are directly responsible for supporting competitive grant solicitations, and all aspects of grant project management and administration.
You will partner with governments, other interested parties, and eligible entities by providing proactive technical assistance to support the preparation of competitive applications that, if funded, will implement projects and yield measurable improvements to streamflows around the state.
What you will do: Perform regular and active reviews of grant regulations, policy, guidance, scope, budget, and schedule status to understand and manage the details of all aspects of Ecology's responsibilities of the grant portfolio.
Communicate with grantees to ensure they have needed support to adhere to their responsibilities detailed in the grant scope, budget, and schedule.
Visit sites periodically to provide support.
Review and process progress reports and payment requests from grantees in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Oversee the closeout of completed grants in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
Collaborate both internally and externally to develop grant agreements with customized scopes, budgets, and schedules appropriate for each project.
Required Qualifications: A total of eight years of experience and/or education as described below: Experience in land use, urban, regional, environmental, or natural resource planning, and/or program development, landscape architecture, geography, land use or environmental law, public administration with an environmental emphasis, or closely related experience.
Education involving a major study in land use, urban, regional, environmental, or natural resource planning, landscape architecture, geography, land use or environmental law, public administration with an environmental emphasis, or closely related field.
All experience and education combinations that meet the requirements for this position: Possible Combinations College credits or degree – as listed above Years of required experience – as listed above Combination 1 No college credits or degree 8 years of experience Combination 2 30-59 semester or 45-89 quarter college credits 7 years of experience Combination 3 60-89 semester or 90-134 quarter college credits (AA degree) 6 years of experience Combination 4 90-119 semester or 135-179 quarter college credits 5 years of experience Combination 5 A Bachelor's Degree 4 years of experience Combination 6 A Master's Degree 2 years of experience OR One (1) year of experience as an Environmental Planner 2, at the Department of Ecology.
